The TransAmerica Transportation Corridor in Utah
Where does the proposed route go?
The TransAmerica Corridor [I-66] enters the state of Utah on an upgraded US 89, designated as the TransAmerica Corridor [I-66], passing the town of Kanab, where it then swings back south on US 89A, designated as the TransAmerica Corridor [I-66]. The corridor then re-enters the state of Arizona.
Once the TransAmerica Corridor [I-66] re-enters the state of Utah on an upgraded US 59, designated as the TransAmerica Corridor [I-66], the corridor double badges the I-15 route as the I-15/I-66 TransAmerica Corridor until it exits Utah and re-enters Arizona.
Note: In most cases, the TransAmerica Corridor [I-66] upgrades highways or rural expressways that already exist.
