The TransAmerica Transportation Corridor in Missouri

Where does the proposed route go?

TransAmerica Corridor I-66 MoDOT Missouri

The TransAmerica Corridor [I-66] enters the state of Missouri using the Bill Emerson Memorial Bridge at Cape Girardeau. It swings south of the southwestern portion of the metropolitan area until it follows a corridor due west, reaching US 60 at Van Buren. From there US 60 will be designated as the TransAmerica Corridor [I-66], passing Springfield and moving west, briefly converging with I-44. West of Springfield, the route would most likely enter Kansas just west of Jasper and I-49, in order to directly connect into US 400.

Note: In most cases, the TransAmerica Corridor [I-66] upgrades highways or rural expressways that already exist.
