TransAmerica Corridor I-66 IDOT Illinois

From Metropolis, IL, the TransAmerica Corridor [I-66] roughly follows due west until it reaches East Cape Girardeau’s approach to the Bill Emerson Memorial Bridge. There are approximately 40 miles of the TransAmerica Corridor to construct in Illinois. This interstate facility also follows the 2015 recommendations by the Secretary of Kentucky’s Transportation Cabinet during the “66 Corridor Study.”

Note: In most cases, the TransAmerica Corridor [I-66] upgrades highways or rural expressways that already exist.
